Sky has recently announced that it will be tweeting video clips of action from the UEFA Champions League. This a new way of engaging with subscribers to their sports channels. For those following the action on TV, the clips should be a bonus, allowing them to relive the highlights of the game whilst for others it might be an invitation to tune-in on the TV or mobile device.
It follows a trial by Sky of the Grabyo's real-time clip-sharing platform, on Transfer Deadline Day in September, when 6000 clips were shared across social networks, reaching around seven million people.
